Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This ongoing transformation involves the combination of numerous factors, including weather, topography, parent material, organic matter, and time. These variables act in a collective manner to mold the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
